Hatchet 3 movie review

Hatchet 3: Hatchet 3 Horror Film is the 2013 installment in the Hatchet film series. It tells the story of Victor Crowley, his murderous rampage through Louisiana's Honey Island Swamp. Kane Hodder plays Victor Crowley, Brian Quinn portrays Deputy Winslow, Rileah vanderbilt portrays Misty.

The strengths of the film lie in the practical effects. Unlike many modern horror movies that heavily rely on CG effects, Hatchet 3 features mostly realistic makeup effects and sets, resulting in some truly terrifying scenes throughout the movie.

Kane Hodder is a standout among the cast and is a formidable villain. The dialogue is a bit snarky and tongue-in-cheek for it to be reminiscent of a classic '80s slasher movie at times. There are also some hilarious moments that stand out in all the heart-wrenching scenes.

Unfortunately, the film's budget was limited to $1 million. This means that many locations in the movie are re-used from earlier films. A boat house is used twice, and the majority of the scenes feel like they're recycled from previous films. It (blog post) can seem like it's all too familiar at times especially for people who've already seen Hatchet or Hatchet 2

Overall, Hatchet 3 was a good series. There were plenty of gory thrills and several great performances by the actors.
